TCL

TCL was founded in 1981, first as TTK Home Appliances producing cassette tapes—one of China’s early joint-venture companies. It later expanded into phones, TVs, mobiles, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioning, small appliances, and LCD/LED panels. Today TCL employs about 75,000 people, runs 23 R&D centers and 21 factories, and sells through offices in more than 80 countries covering over 160 markets. In 2015 it ranked among world leaders in LCD TVs, smartphones, panels, and home appliances in China.
